To clean the mist tube and the top part, we recommend disinfecting and cleaning the tank's top and mist tube by soaking them in a 1% bleach or vinegar solution for 10 minutes, shaking vigorously, rinsing, and using the included brush.

Regarding the water on the base, this is a normal part of the humidifier's operation. The water flowing from the tank to the base when you add water and place it back is how the humidifier draws water from the tank and disperses it through the base to increase room humidity.

The bubbling or knocking sound the humidifier makes while running is also normal. This is the sound of water moving from the water tank to the base, and it does not affect the performance of the device.

It is important to note that adding essential oils to this humidifier can corrode the water tank or base, causing them to crack. Therefore, we recommend against using essential oils with this particular humidifier.
